Belgian Quadrupel, also known as Belgian Dark Strong Ale, is the strongest representative of traditional Belgian beer styles. As the name hints, it is a very strong, top fermented and full flavored beer.Its taste is a masterful harmony between rich malt, dark fruit and characteristic spicy yeast tones. Our reference to the traditional Trappist strength determination is the denomination XI. The ‘eleven’ is an equivalent of 26 degrees Plateau. Its taste is reminiscent of Dubbel, but stronger and more complex. Thanks to a special Abbey malt, its body is fuller and richer. Dark Belgian caramel grants it even deeper colour with chestnut glints. Authentic Westmall abbey yeast brings about the luscious tones, typical for Belgian ales. We, however, wanted to push our Quadrupel even further and added one of world’s most priced spices, true green cardamon, famous for its unique and intense aroma for more than two millennia. This symbol of Arabian hospitality is worldwide valued for its gustatory, but also medicinal properties. It improves digestion, reduces stress, it is a strong antioxidant and fights cancer. Our XI – Quadrupel is therefore the ideal beer not only for all luxury seekers, but also for everyone conscious about his or her health.
