First scripts with data about farming hops in Slovakia can be found as far back as 16th to 18th century. Nowdays there are only last four farms left – in Čachtice, Nemšová, Soblahov and Trenčianska Turná. Looking at map, our brewery is therefore in one of the “hoppiest” areas in Slovakia, and this advantege can not be left behind. We are proudly introducing you our unique Harvest Ale – brewed exclusively with hand picked whole cone Saaz hops from local hop farms. Term Harvest or Wet Hop Ale can be used only for beer brewed with fresh, still wet hops only hours after harvesting them. This fresh, unprocessed hops still has all of its aromatic oils and bittering acids and it’s using is experience itself. Bucketfulls of these little green cones have to be added consecutively into the boiling wort, and the result in shape of unique character speaks for itself. Our pale ale stuffed with large amounts of freshly harvested hops carries a hint of citrusy aromas and significant herbal bitterness.
