In many countries, apples are used in production of an alcoholic beverage, be it stronger or weaker. Currently very popular apple cider is in fact a fermented apple juice, which has its deep roots in the west of England, from where its production spread to the USA and Canada. However, other European countries have their equivalent of this drink served sparkling or still. The ciders produced commercially differ amongst themselves in their taste, the amount of apple juice used, as well as in the alcohol content. Our Mulberry Cider Ale is half-way between a beer and a cider. We used pure apple juice, large quantity of home-grown hand-picked mulberries and, to maintain its beer properties, we added malt and a decent amount of fruity profile hops. In order to create a light and refreshing beverage, we employed a distinct Belgian yeast strain capable of fermenting almost the entirety of sugars, resulting in an elixir of a pure delicate taste with astounding 7% ABV. Do not hesitate to try it! We believe, you will appreciate it as much as we have.
