Our wheat beers are brewed the way the German weizenbier is, with a ratio of more than 70% of wheat malt. These beers are subtly hopped with special hops designated typicaly for Weizenbier. They grant our wheat beers citrus-herbal aroma. The special topfermenting yeast brings tones of fresh fruits and cloves. Will you have a dark wheat beer of fresh taste and echoing almond flavour, pure light wheat beer, or would you prefer one of our ever changing wheat specials. Wheat beer brewing has had its tradition in Trenčín for more than 500 years. In 1546 Ferdinand I. Habsbourg granted the Liberal city of Trenčín an exclusive right to brew wheat beer, provided that the acquired money would be used for the puproses of city walls restoration. Historical sources claim that Trenčín wheat beer was famous even all the way in Vienna. It is our honor to be able to continue in this tradition.
