Among all beer styles, history of IPA is probably the most romantic one. The story of an English Ale, which had to be strengthened and extra hopped to endure a long voyage to India to feed the largest British colony, is well known by every beer lover. In our brewery we have introduced several substyles of an IPA: light Session IPA, variations of so-called Single Hop IPA, dark-colored Black IPA, and strong and bitter Double IPA. This time we have crafted a Black Session IPA, which combines a light, refreshing body and a black coat. Despite the color, you would hardly find any roasted flavor. Instead, citrus fruit and dark resin dominate the aroma. Easy sipping body contains tones of müsli, dark fruits, caramel and hoppy bitterness, which gradually draw in intensity towards significantly bitter and dry finish typical for IPA.
