About this beer

Strength
15 °P

IPA originates in English Ale from the colonial era, which was strengthened and greatly hopped to withstand a long voyage through the tropics to final destination India, hence the name India Pale Ale. Over the time it almost disapeared, but was successfully revived in the 1975 in Californian Anchor Brewing. Thanks to the newly available, aromatic, American-grown hops, it quickly spread to craft breweries throughout the whole US and eventually was brought back to Europe. Sorachi Ace hops origin in Japan, where Dr. Yoshitada Mori developed it for Sapporo brewery, although only commercial farming in the American Pacific Northwest climate resulted in exceptional flavor. Namely lemon, lemongrass, notes of ripe tropical fruits such as mango and dragon fruit, but also coconut and even coriander gives Sorachi Ace truly unique profile.
