This wheat beer originates in 1980s as an adaptation of a German Weizenbier, however, by using american ingredients it became very different from it’s Bavarian “brother”. Light malty body is very similar, but instead of yeastproduced banana esters and clove phenols you can taste citrusy american hops. We brewed an adored version with rye flakes which give the beer an earthy, somewhat spicy flavor with a characteristic dry mouthfeel. We also used a special hopping technique — the so called hop bursting —which maximizes hop aroma while keeping the bitterness in moderate range. It means using a huge amount of hops right before the end of the boil.
